Rory Mcilroy comes out on top after a grueling 4 days of play at the infamous Eastlake Golf Club. He started the week off a little slow as he posted rounds of just a couple under the first three days. But when he came to sunday, he obviously was ready to play and was ready to win his first ever Fedex Cup and Tour Championship title. He came into the 4th round back by a few strokes to Dustin Johnson but shot an amazing 64 to get into a 3 man playoff with Kevin Chappell and Ryan Moore. Chappell would be eliminated after the first hole of playoff. And Rory and Ryan would go on to play another 3 holes after that.
When they reached the last hole of playoff both players split the fairway but Moore had 180 in and Mcilroy had just a sand wedge. Moore eventually would put his shot off the green and decide to chip it. His chip was very poor and put him over 15 feet from the hole. He would go on to make a clutch par save and force Rory to make his putt to win. Rory stepped up and sunk the putt to win over 10 million dollars! Congratulations Rory and good luck next season!
